A leggyengébb láncszem (English translation: The weakest link) was the Hungarian version based on the Weakest Link. It was hosted by Krisztina Máté and aired for one series on TV2 from August 13th, 2001, until May 2002. This series had a top prize of Ft 3,000,000.

Krisztina Máté, a news presenter at the time, took a very extreme turn with accepting this new role. The show instantly became the most controversial program on Hungarian TV that time: the rude style and manner that the game-play was built upon shocked people, and the hostess' reputation quickly changed into irritating and arrogant. Another wrong decision of TV2 was modifying the air schedule to compete with the Hungarian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, which was more popular. Over time, the show's popularity began to fade, and finally the show was cancelled in May 2002.
